Desogesterol pill and migraine

Has anyone used desogesterol pill to help with menstrual migraine? I have been using this pill to stop bleeding as that is when I had severe migraine attacks, as well as at other times. And it worked fine for a couple of years. Now something has changed and it has stopped working. I have just listened to the heads up podcast about hormones and migraines and the specialist said that you can double up on the desogesterol pill if it stops working. Does anyone know what doubling up means? Desogesterol is a mini pill so you take it continuously and never have a break, it is 75g.

'Doubling up' usually means taking twice as much, but I would not recommend you do that without talking to your own specialist first. I'd also be a bit concerned that you're taking something that stops menstrual bleeding long term if you are aged under 50 anyway, never mind taking twice the dose...

Speak to your specialist or doctor about this before changing what you're doing.
