Tension myositis syndrome

Hello my names scott and I have had a constant pain in the back of my head, the temples and jaw since may 5th 2011.

I have been diagnosed with chronic refractory migraine, chronic interactable migraine, new daily persistent headache and chronic trapezius myalgia.

I have tried every medicine including regular Botox and occipital nerve blocks and have even been hospitalised for iv dhe and nothing has worked.

Recently I have been reading a lot on tension myositis syndrome/mindbody syndrome/psycopysiological pain disorder.

I now believe my pain is curable but not with conventional methods.

I urge people to look into unlearnyourpain.com

YouTube videos by dr Howard shubiner and also dr John sarno, there are some good groups on Facebook and I recommend pain free you.

I look forwards to hearing your opinions.

To be honest I’m really struggling now, I caught covid in April and was in hospital and since then everything’s been bad, I was doing good though using mindbody techniques.

Right now I’m doing terribly though

I have constant pain too (diagnosed with chronic migraines) Saw every specialist available was put on all drugs possible and still suffered over 25 migraines a month. Then, one ER doc said "your brain is smarter than every drug available. You have to figure out what your triggers are and avoid them at all cost."

4 years later' I avoided every I knew that triggered them (all scents, bright lights' went gluten free' avoided age cheese' red wine), and still suffered.

Then, I decided to go plant based (vegan' but without the junk food). 10 days later my migraines stopped. I went off all meds and cancelled my appointments.

Cheated several times by having dairy and within 10 mins, I was suffereing from another horrible migraine.

All forms of dairy was my trigger. I went a year without processed foods and then had pasta. Got another horrible migraine that lasted 3 day.

What was in the pasta? Gysolohate... aka Roundup. The same poisonous chemical known to cause cancer if exposed to it.

Why would it be legal for wheat farmers to saturate their fields with a poison known to kill millions of people? Greed

Anyway, what I've learned in my last 500 days of eating healthy is that the US allows their farmers to use the poison. But Italy has banned the chemical. I can safely eat pasta imported from Italy without suffering.

I've also learned doctors so not want to cure, they want to treat. It's up to you to figure it out. Invest $125.00 in a food sensitivity test and find out what you are sensitive to. An allergy test will not show anything.

Good luck and you can figure it out.

Oh, and what I heard over and over again is... you love dairy, you love meat. It will be too hard for you to go without.

No. Going plant based is so much easier than dealing with chronic migraines and wanting to end your life.

I spent more than 1/2 my life suffering. Now, I love life again.

Wow that's an amazing story. Well done you. I need to figure out what triggers mine too. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I've got a lot to lose apart from my sanity.
