CBD for Migraines

I have suffered from chronic migraines and headaches for 20 years. I have heard a lot about CBD oil or tablets for helping manage the pain, but I don't know where to start looking - what dosage to try and what type. Does anyone have any experience or advice. Thank you!

Sarah , join a Facebook group for CBD . There’s one called simply cbd that’s very helpful and will guide you through it .

I don't know where you live, but if medical marijuana is legal where you are you might want to try it. I found that a very low dose ( ratio of CBD to THC 20 to 1) of Indica strain of marijuana helps a lot better than straight CBD. There is just enough THC to help me relax and reduce the pain but I do not feel high at all. If the migraine is super bad I will use a 1 to 1 blend. That does make me a little loopy but when the migraine is that bad I can’t function anyway so what the heck. It takes care of the nausea too. I use a tincture so it’s very discreet, no odor, and within 15 minutes greatly reduced pain and I can get some much needed sleep.

Hi, like all of us, I've spent years trying to find something natural that helps/cures. I spent over £80 on a small bottle of this oil, having had a long chat with our helpful local health food shop owner (UK), she explained that if I could afford the stronger stuff, it would be more beneficial (sorry this is a bit vague, but it was about a year ago). It did absolutely nothing I'm afraid, but I'm sure it could help others. It was a bit painful spending that much, but as we all know, anything is worth spending if you can get rid of the migraine beast! My next venture is going to be mindfulness, which I am told can work miracles with chronic pain (when I have time....!!!!!) Oh dear. All the best x

I take CBD oil for migraines in NZ. I went to a professional CBD Clinic where I saw a Dr. I am doing really well and have found it's helped my migraines amazingly.

Hello Gaysie. That's interesting. Unfortunately, there is not such thing as a CBD oil in the UK. Would you mind sharing some details? I mean, in relation to the oils allowed here, what sort of strength are you taking? How often? I know that everybody is different but still, it would give me some guidelines.

I have some oil (expensive!!!) but I haven't used it yet, as I don't know how and if it may interact with the tablets I take. :(

Would be really appreciated if you could? Thank you.
