Are there others out there that think people with migraines may also suffer with insomnia like I do? What a life!!!

Suludo18- I have been waking up 2 or 3 times during the night. It is horriable and if I am up 1 hour before my alarm I don't ever go back to sleep.
Hi Soludo18, When I started taking triptans, they would keep me awake for 2 to 3 hours. Now I rarely have insomnia. Have you asked your doctor for something to help you fall asleep?
Of course I've asked for something. She seems to go deaf when I complain about not being able to fall asleep.
I did finally get something. I have restless leg syndrome really bad and what I was taking wasn't working. My pain specialist gave me Horizant for that which helped but I still couldn't fall asleep. Finally, my primary care physician gave me .25 mg of Halcion. Separately, these two drugs don't make me fall asleep, but when I take them together (which I've been doing for two weeks) works like a charm. Good luck finding some peace in your life!!!
I have never gone to sleep and slept straight through for years.
I have no trouble falling asleep but terrible trouble staying asleep. No idea whether being a migraine sufferer causes this as I suspect many non migraine sufferers also have the same problem.
