Possibly Anaemia

Hi All

My father was recently suffering with severe cluster headaches/ migraine.

He went to the hospital. Had a blood test, which revealed that he had severe anaemia.

I would advise everyone to get a doctor to do a full blood count on you, to check for anaemia, if having frequent headaches or migraines.

Hopefully, this advice helps.

Hi Shaas. When I was young I too had severe anaemia. It certainly doesn't help with headaches and migraines. It never however got rid of mine. I hope your Dad has now found some relief from the pain.

Thanks Mavery

He is much better now. The treatment has stopped the headaches altogether.

Hi Shaas, Do you know what was the haemoglobin level in your father's blood test before the treatment? (they also measure ESR)

Hi Troy

I am not sure the exact figure, but it was half the reading it should have been. He actually required blood transfusion.
