Chewing gum and migraine

Hi everyone.

Has anyone heard of the connection between chewing gum and migraine?

Apparently, chewing gum vigorously can bring on a migraine, according to an article I read. Something to do with moving the jaw to hard, repeatedly.

Now I am definitely guilty of this and recently reduced my chewing. The migraine are still there but not as severe. I have also reduced caffeine in my diet, so one of those are helping.
