Network Spinal Analysis (NSA)

Hi

I was recently recommended NSA by a chiropractor, he claimed this would really help with getting rid of my migraines. After looking online and reading more about it I cancelled my appointment as it seemed a bit 'cultish'. does anyone have any experience with NSA for migraines?

Thanks

Ro

Upper cervical spine & wellness centre

Hi Ro, this is something i was looking at. It's a sound wave they use ( no cracking or popping involved ). There's only one in the UK so a bit difficult for me. There are loads in other countries though.

Look it up on Facebook but if you don't have that you can google it.

As far as i can tell it's not cheap but gets results.

😆

It was the person who does it that advised me to do it, only 10 mins away. I think it was £60 for initial consultation then £35 per 10 minute session afterwards which suggests to do 3 times a week. A bit pricey to just try it out so wondered if anyone had tried.

I would defo try it, done a lot of research into it but I'm in Scotland and would need to travel back and forth to London 😔 for each session.

Your sooo lucky to have it so close.

I'm getting my first break from 3yrs of daily migraine right now ( thank gawd)

Had bottox into my jaw muscles on the 8th December and not had one background headache or migraine since the 9th 😆.

This one is in Cheshire, naturallyempowered.co.uk/

I've heard a lot of positive things re having botox injections. I've now been referred for an MRI scan which will be after xmas, but I doubt anything will show on it.

5 days! good start! lets hope it continues!

Hi Cally, glad to hear you found something that works. Mine are getting worse. The weather is horrible here in western Canada, it's called an arctic vortex, the winds are driving me bonkers. I don't think my meds are working so I'll go to the doctors after the holidays. She had discussed botox at one point. Lise-Anne

Sorry to hear that Lise-Anne that sounds awful!

Its crazy how the weather can effect us migrainers so much! I wonder if anyone has done any research on migraines and weather?

I think a lot of people react to the barometric pressure - when it goes up or down, don't remember, they get a migraine. There was a women in our office who ended up moving to central British Columbia because the pressure there was more stable, but not this year.

The wind can affect people's moods, even people who don't have migraines. It makes them edgy and nervous.

Oh no Lise-Anne 😢 hope you get it under control soon. Yeah they botoxed my jaw muscles and along my temples. It's helping massively just now.

I am going to get my upper cervical checked out after xmas😆

Be well 😘

I had a great day today, no pain, nothing. Very grateful. Taking it one day at a time, so strange these migraines. It's still windy and miserable. Probably something else triggered the dreadful one I had yesterday.

Glad to hear that you are getting help. Very encouraging!

Hang in there!

Thank you Lise-Ann 😆

Oh I'm so happy you had a pain free day, it's a reminder that wee can be normal 😆.

You know something I've had continuous background headache which escalated to migraine every day for 3yrs and out of that i had 4 days in total with no pain at all, it was honestly like someone just flicked a switch and turned off the pain?

There is a trigger and I'm sure it's in my neck somewhere.

I know theres a big problem with my jaw but something clicks/cracks in my neck too.

I'm gonna get to the bottom of it after xmas !!!

Take care, hope you have more painfree days 😘

in reply toCally01

That sounds unbearable, 3 years! The longest stretch I've had is 3 weeks of constant pain, and I have been pain free for over two weeks. So far my triggers are food and weather, cold and wind. But I think neck, shoulder muscles might have something to do with it. A project for 2017! There is always hope.

Take care and keep in touch.

I was skeptical over a chiropractor but I kid you not I go in with a chronic migraine/tension headache and walk out so much better but it's each to their own I guess 😊

I know this is an old post but did you ever end up seeing a chiropractor that practice network spinal analysis? I had the same issue, saw very good reviews but then did a search and found it to seem a but cultish and bizarre too. Not to mention the price seems quite extortionate for a 15-20 minute appointment, but if it really works I'm willing to try.
