Hi everyone.

I hope most of you have been as well as can be.

Iv been awful the last few weeks iv been on for about 16 days with only a day in between of spotting and have had migraine/headaches for 16 days straight some days have been worse than others.

I have finally come off a couple of days ago! My head is still bad not migraine but bad it's hard to explain.

I think it's the topiramate I feel like there is pressure in my head and behind my eyes and I have sharp pains in my head on and off constantly and my eyes feel dry and achy all the time particularly my left eye.

I also havnt really felt myself I have been panic and anxious and feel like I'm constantly second guessing myself and on edge all the time.

I feel really down and ugly and have been getting spots which iv never had not even through my teens but I don't know if that is due to the meds or my long period this time!

I went to Dr's to tell her about my migraines still and she's upped my dose because I was only on 50mg so now I will go up to 50mg in morning aswell as the 50 at night. She didn't say alot about the rest.

Just said to see how I get on with the higher dose.

Xx

I do hope you are better with the stronger dose. Is this a pain killer or is it like a triptan. I find sumatriptan works wonders but you are limited to the amount you take. 2 a week which is useless when you get daily migrains. I really think you should ask for a second opinion about your 16 day period and I wouldn't be surprised if you are anemic that's why you are feeling so low. Good luck.

Hiya babs the topiramate is an anticonvulsant and is being used as a preventative I also have sumatriptan for my migraines.

I have had problems with my periods for a few years and was being seen by a gyne but after a few months of seeing him and tests all that came back was I had a cyst on my ovary that went by itself after 3 months but other than that everything was fine but it's all still the same.

Thanks for your reply

Merry Christmas xx

Hiya Kelcy iv been on it for a few months now I think she started my on it around end of September time!

I'm now on 50mg am and 50mg pm

They hadn't really helped when my Dr had kept me on a lower dose of 50mg just at night but once she upped my dose they seemed to have help I went from christmas eve to 16th Jan without a headache which is completely unheard of for me! But then I came on my period and had a couple of migraines and now this past week (after my period which is weird) has been really bad! X
