Chronic Daily Headache - 6 months.

Looking for any advice available. I've been suffering for more or less 6 months with various symptoms the main one being this tension headache in my forehead and behind my eyes. I've been under the impression it was coming from my eyes but my Dr has just suggested migraine and after initially trying beta blockers has now put me on Topamax. I'm only on day 4 so not getting a result as yet but i'm interested to see what results people suffering with Chronic Daily Headache got from it?

My head ache is there from the min and wake up to the min i go to sleep every single day and i can't remember the last time it wasn't there, it's not intense it's just constant. I'm tired all the time, lethargic, my eyes are sore, my neck is stiff (I went to my physio as i thought my neck was causing the headache) and i constantly feel like i have a cold coming on. Anyone else have any of these symptoms?

I get PMS migraines. My symptoms are the same as yours i also get tension migraines

I get Severe Pain behind one or both eyes, plus shoulder and neck pain, etc. I take one Zomitriptan and 3 - 200 mg each of ibuprofen (600 mg total) at the same time. I lie down and Within an hour - completely gone. This is the only combination that has ever worked for me and Ive been suffering for 25 years. Hope this helps.

I had migraines daily sick for months at a time . I went and had a Daith piercing done . It looks beautiful and it works. I had 2 minor headaches within the four months I had it. I am getting the other ear done soon . I was able to stop taking migraine meds that made me sicker . Even if the the Daith piercing lessen the existent or frequency of amount of them It’s worth the try . Also it’s not that painful my migraine went away and all I had was pressure from the piercing.

First, I should say that I am new to this site and I haven't "introduced" myself yet but I found your post intriguing. I have found accupuncture really works for me but now don't live close enough to an accupunturist to make it worthwhile, perhaps a Daith piercing is a possibility. How long ago did you have the piercing done?

when I had my daith piercing , I didn’t have a headache for 3 whole weeks. (From daily). Eventually they gradually came back though certainly not as intense. What makes you think having the other one done? Have you heard that it might help? X

Hello,

I would say all of those symptoms are typical for any type of chronic headache/migraine. You have to give the drugs time to work, a month to six weeks is normal. Topamax didn't work for me but you can't know until you give it a decent amount of time. If it doesn't work you just have to try the next one on the list I'm afraid. It's a sad fact but what you experiencing is very common especially for people on this forum. Try and stay calm and be as patient as possible as getting stressed will only aggravate your condition, I say this knowing how hard that is!

Good luck,

Cat

Hi

I had headaches daily so frustrating ... Went to my physio

She says it's my jaw ... I am a grinder ...so she massages the trigger points inside my mouth by my upper jaw bone it works for me I rarely have a headache now

It's worth a try because believe me I've tried every thing ......

Hope you get a resolution soon

Funny you should say that, I’ve suffered with TMJ in the past and since I started taking these migraine tablets I feel like my top jaw is tight, almost like there’s a band round it. I clench but don’t feel I’m clenching any more than usual.
