My GP is referring me to a neurologist for migraine (suffered over 40 years!!!!!) and my options are Chelsea and Westminster, Charing Cross or St Mary's, Paddington. Does anyone have any advice? Or should I try to suggest someone/somewhere else? Any advice gratefully received!

Which hospital/neurologist should I see from those suggested by my GP?
Charring X because Sir Frank Clifford Rose used to be there. He set up the first London migraine clinic and wrote the book. So there is a lot of knowledge there.
Yes but you have to pay for the Migriane Centre, the other two I assume you will get referred by your GP on the NHS.
I was referred by my Gp many years ago and they were fantastic with getting my treatment correct.I was also under the impression that if you live in London you can "walk in"if your experiencing a migraine.
The most important thing is to find out if the neurologist is an expert in migraine. I saw a neuro at my local hospital and I knew more than she did about migraine. If you can get some names of potential consultants at the different hospitals and google them or check with the National Migraine Centre maybe they would know if they are migraine experts?
After suffering for 24 years with migraines there is a place in Georgetown, ON called The Migraine Clinic or Ah-Shi Acupuncture and Complementary Medicine Inc. Dr Brendan Cleary 905-702-0911 migraineclinic.ca The different kinds of ailments that he heals is a miracle. He gave me back my springs and falls.
