Yes I have thyroid and also sjogrens and Hughes Syndrome, which often come as a trio of disease. Mary F x
Thanks Mary, did the headaches improve with thyroid treatment?
Hi adequate thryoid treatment normally does help headaches.. and serious migraine which does not react to pain medication, as in Hughes only reacts if the blood is made thinner! My main breakthrough was having that diagnosed and aspirin. Often runs in families with autoimmune diseases, sometimes multiple miscarriages etc or other symptoms. Mary F x
Hi Jasperc,
Ive had chronic tension headaches and chronic migraines for 10 years. I was recently diagnosed hypo and looking back at old blood tests i would say i have been for some time. It runs in the family as well. I think there is a connection but not sure how. In Stop the thyroid madness headaches are listed as a potential adrenal problem and of course with thyroid issues there are often adrenal issues. All im doing is trying to sort the two out with armour and getting some herbs and vits and then gonna try and get off the amytriptyline

Thanks BexyLS - I hope it works for you. I am borderline Hypo and so having a problem as gp and neuro won't admit its a problem or connected. Waiting on more blood results next week before deciding on my next step.
How did you get prescribed amour by the way?
Have you looked on thyroid uk community here? theyre really good with thyroid labs tsh and ft4 etc and getting info to give to docs. such as no its not borderline it is underactive thyroid! Thyroid change website good too xx
Hi there...Did you ever get your chronic headaches sorted, and if so what worked? X
