I have had retracted ear drums since I was 4years old I'm 42 now I've had 12 ops on both ears during that time. So I really don't know what it's like to have normal ear drums. I used to visit the ENT once a year, but after a mastoid ( bone behind the ear) surgery I now go every 3 months.. Funny I never had daily migraines ( but headaches from time to time) until 3months after the mastoid op that was 7years ago make me wonder if there's a connection.

What do they do for a retracted ear drum? I have seen a ent. And they said I have a retracted ear drum. And I do get frequent head aches.
