Long lasting migraines

I have been on emgality injections for 4 years. Plus I take imitrex for breakthroughs along with excedrin migraine. I have migraines with aura no head pain but I can feel the pressure. Does anyone else have migraines like this? My migraines turn into cluster headaches lasting up to four to five days. I have nausea with it and occasionally vomiting. It’s debilitating at times.

Hi Liz

I feel your pain, it really is bad. I’m 51 & just about at the end of my tether. Woke yesterday morning with severe pain on one side of my head, took my triptans x 2, they didn’t work. Took anti-sickness meds but I was still vomiting for 8 hours & the pain was excruciating. I could not get to sleep, took me 9 hours or so, I thought I was dying (again)

I’ve had migraine on & off from the age of 14.

I was referred to neurology earlier this year & have had 3 lots of Botox & think this has possibly made the migraine worse as I have had 3 of the worst migraines in my life over the past 6 weeks.

I am back at hospital next month & I’m waiting on a prescription for injectable meds.

Wishing you well
