Hi everyone. Its been nearlly a week on Toprimate for VM . From the off I have had problems of breathlessness, weezy and coughing and its got worse not better. Im now using an antihistamine too to see if it helps- it doesn't overly. Anyone else with asthma find theu have trouble? This isn't the first med I have been on to give me asthma problems.

Hi there, I’ve been on Topiramate for a few years now for migraine prevention - no asthma reactions but I do have a separate sinus issue. Maybe check with your pharmacist, they should be able to let you know if it’s the med that’s causing the asthma issue or that perhaps you have a separate asthma issue. Just as an fyi, some meds take a few weeks to get into your system. Maybe coincidental. Good luck.
Thank you for your reply. I ended up being taken off them. It just got worse . Such a shame as I think they helped . I took the capsule form but I think its an alergy thing. Really appreciate you replying 😁
