Hi folks, I'm having episodes of vertigo when I lie down and when I get up along with base of the skull pain/headache and pain in my neck/behind my ears As I have had BPPV in the past it was thought it may be that but the Epley manoeuvre didn't produce the signs of it or fix the vertigo. I do have migraines following a TBI and neck injury many years ago, take your pick which type I've had most of them, but this isn't like anything I've had before and I'm a bit stymied as to what it could be. Also it's really unsettling and scarey feeling like the world is tilting! My GP did the Epley today but later, after the treatment when getting up from a nap, I was all over the place again...but only when I first got up. Sitting and walking about I'm not experiencing the vertigo...tho I do have a dull aching in my ears along with the neck pain. Any ideas?...anyone had this cluster of symptoms?...anyone have a time machine I can use to go back to being fit and healthy? π

Vertigo maybe migraine related
Hi Red63,
I have BPPV with vestibular migraine, and I find it very hard to tell them apart, so if Dr found no signs of BPPV it may be vestibular migraines. Only way I can tell them apart is so far I have never had rotational spinning which was a migraine, and eventually the migraines stop being constant and have a start and end. BPPV is always constant with me when I am having an episode of it, until I've cleared the crystals. I hope you're soon feeling better. I've found diet/exercise/sleep routine hugely helpful in managing migraines. Take care, Kate.
Thanks for sharing Kate. I did wonder if it was vestibular migraine. My physio, works on my neck and spine, is concerned I have something vascular going on as I get 'red ear' and for the last few years have had a very red face and sides of my neck. A dermatologist also said it maybe vascular as its not a rash related to anything specific. Aly π
Had my eyes tested recently. Pressure in my eyeballs is normal. My dentist has just told me I have TMD/J. Physio is working on it but I think I need a lifestyle shift to change my stress levels...only then would I know how much is related to stress and grinding my teeth etc. Shame it's not a financially viable option at the moment π Thanks for the input π
