Diazepam

Hi. Advice please! I'm on 2mg diazepam 3times a day - at the moment I'm trying to taper so only take half a tablet in the afternoon. I usually take my morning dose around 10-10.30, however, just before and after 10 this morning I was trying to sort some stuff out online and when I'd finished I couldn't remember if I'd taken my diazepam. Not sure what to do - maybe take a half now just case? Don't want to take a 2mg in case I've already taken, I know we're always told to stick to the prescribed dose. Try and get through to this afternoon and take 2mg then instead of the half? It seems like a small thing to worry about, but that's me!

I would see if you can make it until your next dose....Valium does have a long half-life. If for some reason an event or trigger causes some issue, go for the half instead of the full dose to see if that works. I think that will get you to your next dose so you can get back on schedule. Try not to overthink a possible missed dose as a lot of people tend to forget or skip. For the future, maybe take "today's" full daily dose out and place in a separate container....if you can't remember, you're able to see what you have versus what you've taken. It sounds like you'll be okay until later, but just have that possible forgotten dose on you if things get worse. I'm not a doctor, so this isn't "medical advice".
