Coming of the meds
A few months ago I came off some medication, I did it very gradually so I didn’t get as many withdrawal symptoms or relapse.
I would suggest speaking to your doctor or psychiatrist as they would know any alternatives.
I hope all goes well
Thank you I'm actually feeling good at the moment because of lifestyle changes etc I've been on them 2 years I would like to try come off them if it doesn't work I'll feel the signs & go back straight away

You need to discuss coming of your medication with your GP. In the UK waiting for CBT can be upwards of twelve weeks at the moment, although between those dates you will hopefully be called up on the phone to discuss your concerns and fears etc. They will then give an appointment in the future.
Contact your Surgery or discuss with your GP if there are any organisations within your area that will take you in and give you a Course of treatment, at these centres patients can arrange their own appointments, or your GP may be using the same provider. In my Market town we have a service just like that so I would imagine if you are in a town or city a centre should be there to help.
Also you could try Mental Health Day Centres, they provide sufferers with a place to go and talk with other sufferers. Sometimes these centres give regular members courses of CBT with a qualified Therapist normally around six sessions
If you need to come of your medications, you are feeling better you will need to reduce your doses in a regular safe way. Reduce the medication in half doses over a period of about two to three weeks if possible. Withdrawal success is dependent on the patient, the doses of medication, You may need various values of drug size. That is why you are best discussing this with your GP as a phased withdrawal may be the way forward
BOB
Hi Ste, I live in the Wigan area and got C.B.T appointment very quick. This time I went to a group one and found it really good as all ages and I feel as if it did help. I have been on medication for 24 years and have tried to wean myself off them but had to go back on as felt so crap. They weren’t causing any probs so Doctor has agreed to let me stay on them.
The service in Wigan is called “Think Wellbeing” and you refer yourself.May Be one in Liverpool as well.
Good luck
Try and look for Day Centres in your area, sometimes they can arrange a short course of CBT. Ask the Surgery or CAB may have addresses you can try
