My frenulum got removed. It sucks.

My penile frenulum tore a few times. I went to the uro who wanted to do a circumcision - I refused the option. In the end we opted that he would simply cut out the frenulum and leave the rest. Big mistake. 6 weeks later and my penis still does not have the sensation it should have. Sex will never be the same again. I wish someone had told this to me so I could have investigated other options. I felt like a lost a part of me and have not been mentally okay ever since. Invasive dreams, panic attacks and depression now haunt me.

The OP did not have phimosis (tight foreskin) but a tight frenulum. Not the same!!

It may well have torn anyway if you hadn't had it cut (I snapped my "banjo string" almost 40 years ago, and it healed itself after a few weeks without surgery). It seems bizarre that a urologist would suggest circumcision for frenulum breve though, and "cutting out" rather than just cutting the frenulum seems extreme. Do you mean they actually removed tissue, and did they also mention stretching, steroid creams or frenuloplasty?
