Silicon ring to be removed manually post ZSR circumcision

I have got my ZSR Circumcision and it has been 3 weeks. The ring and staples haven't fallen off. I've got a small cut on the right side of my penis. My doctor says it's due to erection and we will have to cut the ring. Has anyone here got their silicon ring manually removed?

Not personally, but it's quite normal to remove at least last staple nails before the skin grows over them.

I had a similar situation where half of my silicon ring won't come off even after 3 weeks and wound refused to dry up probably due to pins poking into the incision. My urologist pulled the entire ring off at one go. I think it wasn't the correct procedure but perhaps I was lucky that my wound healed after that. I am in my fourth week now and all seems well. But I guess your doctor is right and you should get it removed manually with proper staple remover and not by yanking the ring off as my doctor did.

Hey thanks a lot for your response. This makes me feel better. I got a second opinion. A doctor said to wait for few more days and see if ring comes off on its own. I am taking his advice as of now. Did it pain when your doctor pulled the ring in one go?

Well yes, it did pain a bit briefly but nothing serious. I think you follow your doctor. It should be okay.
