7 weeks after circumcision still swelling,Itching and little bit pain also . is it normal or not?

I got circumcision on January 20th. My incision is still sore and irritated. My penis has become irritated again for the past week. This was the reason for getting it. I assume what you have is generally expected.

I suspect there maybe stitches still remaining under the skin thatre causing the discomfort. Not unlike a any foreign object, I.e. a splinter.

I think you are right cuz my knots have fallen off but I can still see a tiny peice sticking out. And the skin is super sensetive and irritated. It's also a bit hard. Have you guys experienced this too?

I gently scraped at the dry, callous- like skin, and part of a suture would always be the cause. Most of the time pulling slowly, but firmly on the stitch with tweezers or something would break it loose. And the remainder of the suture would disappear under the skin. The itchiness and soreness would dissapperar pretty much instantly after that. And where there was dead dry skin, new, live, unirritated tissue would grow.

My doctors gave me the go ahead to do this. I’d check with your doctor and let them know, just to be safe

Thanks that's Interesting information. At what stage were you at when you did this? As I mentioned I'm at week 9 and for the last week its been very irritated and sore. Advil/tylenol does not help with the burning/sorness/light pain.

At around week 7. Discovered them by accident. I didn’t think there were any stitches before then. I had a bunch of subcutaneous continuous sutures.
