I am getting a penile implant soon; I have tried everything else, and this is a last resort. Looking for advice.

Is this to deal with erectile dysfunction?

Yes. Nothing else worked, and when I tried the injections, I wound up in the Emergency Room 4 times (that was NOT fun) as my doctor tried to find a strength or combination that would work .

Sorry to hear that. It must be so difficult to deal with - both the problem and the failed injection attempts. I do not know if any of our members have gone down the transplant route to support you but I hope so Take care

I was distressed to read your post, and would like to associate myself with Osidge's comments. Personally, I can do little more than wish you well and hope that your implant will be a success. With every good wish and kindest regards, Sine :)

Thank you! My doctor made it sound like it was almost a routine procedure, but then he said the surgery will take 2-3 hours. He said I should be very happy with the results, although the procedure will reduce the length of the penis slightly. I trust my doctor, but I am still nervous about just having this done, but like I said, this is my last option.

I can easily understand why you're apprehensive; any man would be. Whereabouts and when are you having the procedure?

Next Thursday at Baptist hospital in Pensacola, Florida. It will require at least an overnight stay.

Thanks for that. I'll be thinking of you. Let us know how it goes, will you? Good luck! Sine :)

I had an implant done about 3 months ago after many years of pills and injections no longer working. I too wound up in the ER from the shots and an erection that wouldn't go down. I will tell you, it is a tough surgery, but after a week or two and lots of rest and ice, it is worth it. I was in the hospital overnight (near Orlando FL), and went home the next day and had some pain meds for a few days. I'm not sure how far along you are in your journey to becoming bionic, but there is an excellent website, Franktalk, that deals with implants in great detail. Good luck with your surgery and reach out with any questions. By the way, I'm 65 and glad I had it done.
