Stay strong, good things will happen make sure your health is first. Also good luck and take care. We are in this together.
Now I got it. I think your blood glucose is on higher side. If B-HbA1c is 72 mmol/mol > Glucose level is 8,7%. So you might have diabetes and that needs to be take care first. There is higher risk to get wound infection rn.
That is poorly controlled blood sugar so you would be at risk of infections. Although he was a little harsh, his warning about Covid-19 is him trying to help you. You would be at higher risks with blood sugars that are not controlled. I am type 2 diabetic snd my last HbA1c was 35 which gives me a lot less risk in terms of the virus. I hope you can get your sugars under control and have your op.
Thanks just frustrated that I have lost all that weight no encouragement or any positive comments from doctor cut out all junk foods and coke
Sounds good. I think you need to talk with your endocrinologist about your medicines and the care line.
It's way too narrow-minded to look at your weight loss only. I know cases where teenager won't use insulin enough cause they loose weight by poisoning themselves with constant high glucose level. You just hurt yourself if you can't keep your glucose level on better balance. Could an insulin pump or modern flash glucose monitoring help you?

I don't know you at all. I just want the best for you.
Healing gets affected if you have high blood sugar.
Thanks everyone for your supportive messages will endeavour to make changes to my diet
The doctor is concerned about your healing which will be endangered if your glucose is high. He’s doing what’s best for you.
I have type 2. My A1C was at 10.5 and the urologist suggest to get it down to 7.5 so he can do the surgery. It took me a month to get there. I’m sure is lower now because I went in for my 3 week check up after circumcision and he asked me twice if I was diabetic since my wound healed fast.. a little about my routine to keep blood sugar down - eat 30 grams of carbs per meal, 15 grams per snack. During diner time I keep between 15-30g. Also after eating I go walking for 10 mins. Would love to walk at home since all this covid stuff but no treadmill so I mask up and walk around the block. I also do fasting which is another good thing to do (advice your doctor before fast) combined with a similar diet as keto without so much fat since I already have it I’m trying to lose it. At least your doctor didn’t tell you like me.. he told me the only way to stop diabetes is sewing your mouth or your going to die soon. 🤦🏽♂️ type 2 is very serious if your glucose is over 180 start causing a lot of damage to your organs and over time can be deadly and crippling. Just now that we have control over our lives and our illnesses are add-ons. Up to us to removed those add-ons and upgrade ourselves.
Very true, thanks my sugars everyday are 5.5 to 5.8 so they have come down now,yes walking I do a lot of that now.
