I think there is a bruise on ventral side of your penis near the frenulum remnant. It's quite normal after operation to have a bruising and swelling, too. If there is a lot of pain and you have fever. You may need to contact your local health care. Take care. ;)

Were you given comprehensive advice on what to do and expect during your healing process? If not then you may wish to visit: circinfo.com/post-op_care/c...

and download the medically approved booklet of additional Post-Op Care advice.

My aim is to provide current evidence-based practice on wound care. Unfortunately Epsom salt is not on the list.

I refer to Circinfo leaflet title 'Bandages' and text on it: "Put only enough lukewarm water in a bath as needed to just cover your groin completely. Mix in a table-spoon (approx. 25g) of Epsom Salts (or common salt) to promote healing."

I couldn't find any evidence-based data for using Epsom salt on open wound. Scientific articles about Epsom salt are 80 years old. :)

There is nothing wrong to use Epsom salt on bath then, when the wound is healed and you have sore muscles too.

The NHS may not suggest using Epsom salts, but some UK and USA doctors do recommend it over common salt. Others simply ignore the potential problems of bandage changing!
