Paraphimosis?

My foreskin has been behind the head of my penis for a year or so and recently I have experienced pain. Is this a problem?

Only a doctor can diagnose it for you but in paraphimosis the foreskin cannot come back over the glans . And if your having pain it can be a number of causes so it's best to meet a doc. Also if it is indeed paraphimosis it would be best to meet your doc as soon as possible as it cuts off the blood supply to the head and can become an emergency .

No problem . Would suggest you to not engage in any sexual activities and rather get it checked up soon to avoid an emergency ! All the best !

Pain that lasts for some while should always be checked out by a doctor.

Paraphimosis (inability to get the retracted foreskin back over the glans rim to re-cover the glans) is always a medical emergency as it can cut off the blood supply to the glans. You need to get it checked out as soon as possible.

Have you replaced it over the glans to see if pain stops?

No it doesn't go back over. It hasn't since it grew.

Squeezing the glans while simultaneously manipulating the skin generally works. You might also find success by inserting a spoon handle under the foreskin to guide in back in place, in the manner of using a shoe horn.
