PREP Pre-Assessment Clinic?? Don’t know what will happen?

Hello everyone, I’ve just received a letter from the hospital saying, Next month I have an appointment with PREP Pre-Assessment Clinic? What does this mean? And what will happen while I’m there? It says on the letter I need to go before I go in for surgery btw. Little nervous!

Hi, just had the same for myself for a different op but it's to check what medicines you're on, general health, smoke/drink, blood pressure, weight, etc. Sounds like you may be having a general anaesthetic? If so, you'll be seen by your surgeon before you go under and this is THE CRITICAL TIME to tell him EXACTLY what you want if you haven't already. (If you have a preference). Good luck.
