stopped Depo injection due to being 50

I had my last Depo injection last December as I was about to turn 50. I loved being on the injection as it stopped my periods and the severe cramping I used to get. For around a year I’ve been experiencing some menopause symptoms such as hot flushes and night sweats. These have recently stopped so I assumed I wouldnt get a period. 7 months on from my last injection, yesterday I had bad cramping and a small amount of bleeding when I wee’d, but no blood on the sanitary towel. Today is the same. I’ve looked online and there’s lots of information about stopping depo, but not when your at menopause age. Has anyone else stopped depo at 50? What happened? Any info would be appreciated.
