HI Clare, welcome🙂

It’s been several years since I reached menopause, my last period was January 2004…so Jan 2005 was the official date.

All I recall now about perimenopause is..fatigue, lack of concentration, disorientation, mood swings and of course heavy periods. Thankfully hot flushes weren’t on the list.

I had a brief ‘flirt’ with HRT patches but personally didn’t find they made much difference, and the only other recommendation from my GP ..was Evening Primrose Oil.

I’ve attached a link (probably info you’re well familiar with but others could find it helpful) and at the bottom of it are further links that could be useful.

Perimenopause isn’t brushed under the carpet anymore, there is so much info-help-support online these days..but even so it can still be a struggle..

Best wishes🙂

What's worse, perimenopause or menopause? There are three stages of menopause:Perimenopause – The time leading up to menopause)Menopause – When you have stopped producing hormones that cause a period, and there has been no period for a yearPostmenopause – The time after menopause has occurredAll stages come with challenges, but with a healthy lifestyle and focus on ageing well – life can be gratifying during the 30-plus years many women live postmenopause.
