Hello - hope you are all as well as can be.

Looking for experiences from those who have adenomyosis and are going through /have gone through natural perimenopause/menopause.

Did any treatments help with symptoms?

Any treatments make things worse?

For those in natural menopause - how are your symptoms now?

I'm in perimenopause (still having irregular periods) and unsure of what to do in terms of hrt etc as I'm terrified of making things worse.

Huge thanks in advance

🙂 I can see you are a member of specifically related groups, so you probably know about this Webinar to be held by Endometriosis UK..it’s possible similar questions may be asked.

Copied from EndometriosisUK (Healthunlocked)

We will be holding a webinar discussing Endometriosis and Adenomyosis, which will also include information on hysteroscopies . This will be led by Ilyas Arshad, Consultant Gynaecologist, Denise Carter, Endometriosis Specialist Nurse and Karen Loy, Nurse Hysteroscopist.

They will be sharing their knowledge and expertise on these areas but we want to know the topics/issues/ information/practical tips that would be helpful for these endometriosis specialists to cover.

Please can you share your suggestions ?

You’re not alone. I’m here! ☺️ It’s very very very confusing for ladies like us isn’t it? Nina

I recently underwent a hysteroscopy. It was HELL. Worst pain of my life and that’s a big statement. I know it’s not like this for others though. Some glide through it. Personally I can’t even think of it easily as I get trauma memories. I’d like there to be more information about the procedure. I begged for a general anaesthesia due to my history and when I came round I was screaming and swearing 🙁 in agony for over an hour till they took me seriously and gave me an injection for the contractions inside me. My cervix must be different to other women. When is this webinar so I can join in please? I also have a history of endo, fibroids, chocolate cysts, ectopic pregnancy (never diagnosed with Adenomyosis) but wouldn’t surprise me if I also had this?? I am also VERY confused about if HRT is safe for me. I’m suffering a lot now with many of the worst menopause symptoms.
