Hormone Levels

Hi all! I've found so many helpful folks on HealthUnlocked concerning an autoimmune disorder I have and I'm hoping this group can help me with some current issues I think are related to hormones.

Background: I had c*vid back in April 2020 and it triggered horrible periods which lead to an iron deficiency that was thankfully caught before I ended up anemic. I had an ablation in October 2021 after dealing with near constant bleeding for 18 months.

Fast forward to the past few weeks and I am now having trouble sleeping and night sweats. I already see a hematologist for iron deficiency so between her and my PCP I've had a lot of lab work. All looks fine other than the things we know and are currently addressing. Below are my current hormone lab results as well as the previous result from September 2020. I know these levels can change based on time of month, but I would love your feedback on how you interpret my current results. It looks to me that all of these fall in the postmenopausal range, but my PCP said the difference between September 2020 and now is just when it was drawn during my cycle. I'm 43 and had always been like clockwork prior to C*vid. I'm so confused.

Estradiol : Current: 10 pg/mL; Previous: 162 pg/mL

Range: Normal follicular phase 27-161 pg/mL; Normal pre-ovulatory 187-382 pg/mL; normal luteal phase 33-201 pg/mL; Postmenopausal (untreated): 5-38 pg/mL

Follicle Stimulating Hormone: Current: 59.6 mIU/ml; Previous: 8.3 mIU/ml

Range: Follicular phase 1.98-11.6 mIU/mL; Mid-cycle peak 5.14-23.4 mIU/mL; Luteal phase 1.38-9.58 mIU/mL; Postmenopausal: 21.5-133 mIU/mL

Luteinizing Hormone: Current: 20.6 mIU/mL; Previous: 11.6 mIU/mL

Range: Follicular phase 2.6-12.1 mIU/mL; Mid-cycle peak 27.3-96.9 mIU/mL; Luteal phase .8-15.5 mIU/mL; Postmenopausal: 13.1-86.5 mIU/mL

Progesterone Level: Current: .6 ng/mL; Previous: 6.0 ng/mL

Range: Follicular phase .1-2.0 ng/mL; Luteal 1.4-16.6 ng/mL; Luteal phase 1.4-16.6 ng/mL; Mid Luteal Phase: 5.2-22.7 ng/mL; Periovulatory: .4-4.5 ng/mL

🤔 It’s now accepted that the pandemic could trigger inconsistencies in monthly cycles, and in some cases, maybe even to the extent of incurring early menopause. My own periods finished when I was 54..and I’d had around 10 yrs of ‘fluctuation’ prior to that.

You really need someone with a medical background to interpret those results correctly..

Hi your Estradiol levels are low & FSH appears high. As previous member stated you need to speak your doctor. Just my views but appears you may be peri-menopausal / menopausal. I’m 43 too & been progressively suffering with peri symptoms for couple years now. Last summer I was very bad so started HRT now. Many symptoms cross over with other issues, it’s not just typical hot flushes & night sweats etc… I’ve suffered with. So can be hard determining what’s causing what at times!

I’m aware the vaccines have caused issues for individuals too.

Hopefully your doctor can help interpret the results & provide medical guidance.

Thank you for your reply. My doctor is great and she communicates well so she's trying to figure out what is going on but wanted feedback from people who are in the thick of it and have more personal experience. Again, I appreciate your feedback.
