I am coming off Tibolone and moving onto Evorel Conti patches. My GP said to start using the patch and keep on the Tibolone but start reducing it - so first week take it every second day, then next week every 3rd day.
Is this usual when you change over or does it depend what you are on?
I have just remembered that Tibolone helps your body to make hormones rather than give your body hormones which may be why this is different… so much to understand!

From what I understand about your medication, it is an estrogen/progesterone tablet. The reason for the different days is bc you have to come off of it slowly, otherwise there will be problems. Your body makes estrogen, so taking this medication is giving you more estrogen. It basically means that your body is working properly so you don't need the med but like I said go by what you're RX says. You will be fine once off of it.Remember do exactly what you're RX says..
I should have said that I was on the Tibolone tablet, then had a hysterectomy, so I am now moving from the Tibolone (which helps your body to make oestrogen/progesterone) onto an oestrogen/progesterone patch (which gives your body the hormones). This is why I now think that because they work differently, that is why I will start the patch whilst slowly coming off the Tibolone.
