Today's leap forward for MenB vaccine

Hi Everyone,

The last few months have been the most exciting in the world of meningitis protection for many years, with the development of a vaccine to protect against deadly meningitis B (Meningococcal Group B disease).

Back in November we received news that we were a step closer to the highly anticipated vaccine, and today we are delighted to announce that it has been granted a license from the European Commission, which means it’s closer than ever.

The Trust is now urging the Government to make a positive and quick recommendation to introduce the vaccine into the Childhood Immunisation Schedule, so that our children are protected against this strain of the disease as soon as possible. We know that for every day that passes, people will continue to fall victim to the brutal disease.
