Hi, I had bacterial meningoencephalitis a year ago. The biggest problem I have is neck stiffness that doesn’t go away. I can barely move my neck. I went to physical therapy, ultrasound and laser, but nothing helped me. Due to neck problems, I can't move much. Has anyone had a similar problem and what helped you?

Gently stretching it to the edges of your pain. When you feel pain stop. Heat before and after the sessions will help to relax it if it is muscular. Ice will numb it, which you should not do anything until the end of the numbing time to avoid injury.
I like to do circles with my head pretending like I have a horn coming out of the top of the head. Then I make small circles in the one direction for a count of whatever makes sense and is tolerable, and then do small circles of the same size in the opposite way for the same number. Once that becomes easy, then either increase the size of the circles or the number of them. I usually don’t go above 10-20 per direction, and have been doing this mostly daily for about 25+ years now. I also do that with the ankles, hands, elbows, knees, shoulders, and hips. It’s part of the project of keeping my body not stiff from my RA. On the days that the fingers and toes are cranky they get sessions to wake them up too.
I am an artist and want to be able to make art into my elder years, for that I need a body that’s happy with me, and me with it. Functional fitness is why I do yoga on alternating days with weight lifting.
Thank you for answer. The problem is that I can't do circles at all, the mobility of the neck is too small and I can only do static exercises. I used various creams, but none of them helped me. I also take muscle relaxants, but it doesn't help much.
I also can't hardly move my neck in the shoulder to neck position but thought it was because I haven't seen a chiropractor. I'm sorry you have a worse time of it.
