Hi thank you for adding me to your group. I’m just out of hospital having spent a month in with bacterial meningitis and sepsis. I’m struggling with so many things, especially with the change in my vision. Anyone else experienced vision problems?

Hi there, I had the same experience and sepsis. I didn’t experience vision problems straight away but I do now. I am 5 years out of hospital. I now wear glasses for driving and reading.
Take your time in healing as it really knocks you. Mentally and physically.
Rest and I hope you have someone caring for you.
Take care.

Hi, some people can experience problems with their vision problems following meningitis. It is early in your recovery at the moment, and it is common to experience various "after-effects" during this time. You can read more on our website here: meningitisnow.org/meningiti...
If you live in the UK, our helpline can provide you with more information and support : 0808 80 10 388 (UK) or by email: helpline@meningitisnow.org
If you live outside the UK you may be able to find a meningitis organisation in your own country using this link: comomeningitis.org/find-a-m...
Best wishes, Claire

That is really sad to hear. Have you recovered from bacterial meningitis and sepsis? In my opinion, approaching a Laser eye treatment( clearviewinstitute.com/ ) would help you to recover from your vision issues. Lasik treatment is a simple painless procedure that serves as the permanent solution to vision problems for many.
