Hey guys

I had meningococcal meningitis in 2002 and since then I’ve struggled with my memory. I can remember things that happened before I was poorly better than I can since I got poorly.

Has anyone else ever experienced this?

I had VM in 2019 and my memory was much better before my illness than it has been during recovery. I have regained memory of some things that occurred during my hospital stay and rehab but still struggle with remembering things I've known for years. I suspect this is not uncommon.

I'm 10 years out from BM and still have brain fog and memory problems. Plus multiple other lingering symptoms. Some symptoms have faded away with time but I've learned to accept that I need to adapt to a new reality.
