My brother was diagnosed with meningo encephalitis sep 2017 . He was done all kind of tests because they supposed he have some kind of virus and he was hospitalized for 2 weeks with all kind of diagnosis inmune disease included and different medicines.
One week after he was out of the hospital he began with involuntary movements in his leg and arm , he had to go back to hospital and start having anti seizures drug.
Until today nobody can tell us what is wrong with him , he ended with an arthritis very painful , weakness in his body as he has been taking a lot of corticoid plus other medicines . They did him a biopsy in his brain as in an MRI they saw something. After biopsy they said he have a bacteria in his brain called propiumbacterium acne’s and start giving him very strong antibiotic for 6 months plus corticoid plus many other medicines .
He is 55 years old . He is doing a kind of normal life , this means that he drive, work , walk , etc . Doctors said after a bacteria in his brain he would be in very bad conditions . But he was not 🙏 of course he has never being the same.
After almost 2and a half years he is still struggling with arthritis and receiving biological medicine but he has again his meningitis inflammation and his kind of seizures had star again even with Kepra that is a anti seizure drug.
He lives in Ecuador . He was invited to A research hospital in Bethesda in USA 8 days several doctors a lot of tests and still NO NAME for his disease.
Please can anyone have an advice .
