I contracted meningitis of 5he brain and spinal cord just before my 13 th birthday I was in a coma for 4+ months there were another 3 people in same ward as me all with some form meningites. . When I woke from coma my left hand side was paralysed and my left foot had dropped that was 59 year ago I still have the dripped left foot corrected with a cosmetic caliper but I have almost overcome the paralysis but some time it just pounces and I either fall or drop something I realise that in the 60's it was touch and go with meningitesand I feel that I was one of the lucky ones,.

Yes I had it when I was nine and it was a bit touch and go. I strangely have recurring symptoms but much milder level. I’m sorry that it has affected you for life in such a difficult way. I had it in 1971
