Streptococcal meningitis

Hi,

I had Streptococcal meningitis when I was 16, I am now 26 and wondering will this affect me my ability to get pregnant and if I get pregnant will be okay? I read that 25% of women have this bacteria in their bodies anyway so I can assume I still do.

Has anyone had Streptococcal meningitis not while pregnant and what was the experience like? Am I more likely to get meningitis while pregnant or my baby have meningitis?

I have an appointment scheduled with my doctor but would love to hear others opinions or experiences.
