Grandma battling meningitis

Hello my grandma currently is battling meningitis (not sure what kind) she was showing symptoms last Saturday but thought it was just her. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Come Wednesday she could barely stand and wasn't responding to anyone or any verbal commands. Thursday they finally found out it was a form of infection and started her on antibiotics and sedated her. She currently is on and off of sedation still isn't responding to verbal commands but is moving and opened her eyes briefly twice. I just really want to know what are her chances? Can she still pull through with minor symptoms after? I'm just really worried and she is the only grandparent i have left.

Did they do a spinal tap to see if it’s viral or bacterial? They should have done that and if so, it usually takes a few days to know for sure. She can pull through. It will be hard but she can. Just be there for her as much as you can and make sure someone is there for you also. Praying for your grandma!

I'm sorry your grandma is battling this horrible sickness. She sure can pull through this but she will need plenty of loving care after she is home so be there for her then. It is usually not an easy time after meningitis.

Will pray for her
