I’m not my my self, i’m So sick and Feel like I’m about to die and like my stomach want to throw up all the time. Nausea and dizziness and pressure in my head is very strong. My sight and hearing is affected too. It’s like it’s not my body. I know it seems like anxiety but it’s like I’m getting anxiety because I’m so sick

I had a steroid injection in my neck about three or four weeks prior to my acquisition of VM in May 2017. I was hospitalized for five days, then off work for three weeks. While in the hospital and the first couple days at home, I felt the same symptoms you describe. Since VM my sight and hearing have been affected as well - it has made it literally impossible to do my IT job with any level of efficiency. I still have all these except the violent headache and nausea - not to say I don't get some level of those, my headaches have increased from 2 per month on average to 3 - 4 per week since VM.

I hope this helps at least know you are not alone experiencing some of these symptoms. My puncture was before VM, and one while in ER with VM. So that differs, but I see a pattern possibly developing where punctures of any kind can possibly trigger VM in certain cases.

That’s what I had!

For months I thought I’d had VM as that was my diagnosis.

Turns out, I had a CSF leak - almost identical symptoms to VM.

It took a while to find and fix.

If you have ongoing VM symptoms and a lot of them are positional (worse when up better when laying down ) consider a spinal CSF leak.

I wish I had known about it earlier.

Hello, Yours sounds a very severe case and i feel for you. You can find my 28 year old daughter, Rosie S' Story, via the link on the forum stories from the home page.

We found that cranial massage worked wonders for her. Her job is working with horses on pretty much a daily basis and is very physically demanding.

It is rare for a story to be so positive and we have tried to let people know that this amazing complementary therapy worked for her. It helps release the spinal fluid which VM leaves a blockage for. Rosie is pretty much cured after around 10 sessions coupled with actupuncture, although found awesome relief after only one appointment. She is now free of all pain killers and antidepressants and feels right back to her old self.

We can only let you know what worked for her. It's not for all, but has now given amazing relief for many. It seems the success could be to do with the skill of the cranial osteopath you use. So it is important to find out the osteopaths credentials and experience in this specialised field particularly dealing with VM sufferers, if you can. (Not all osteopaths realise that this helps VM sufferers, it is often carried out on young babies with birthing problems). You need an osteopath and not a therapist who mearly has some training in cranial massage.

If you find you are getting the violent headaches and feeling lethargic and depressed after a few weeks, give this complementary therapy a go, it really could be worth it and save you being on prescribed drugs, along with months, years, of unnecessary suffering.

Kind wishes and best of luck
