Hi Keavy11

We are not medically trained on here just people who have had Meningitis or close to someone who has. You are clearly very concerned about your daughter that you have found this site and, I think, are asking if we think she has Meningitis. You need to seek medical advice and as it is the weekend, and if you are in the U.K, you need to ring 111 and ask for advice or take her to A&E.

best wishes

Hi my name is Ginger . It was really nice to see there is a support group out there...for the last 10 years I've suffered with almost all the long term affects of meningitis/septicemia ...I woke up one Saturday in 2006 27 yrs old was fine a little achy, went to bring a friend to a car rental place and it was closed ..went down street to gas station to call other places ...started feeling flu like symptoms..I went to bathroom and started spiking a fever immediately...I had to drive 30 mins to my house and it was Cali desert weather and had a/c on because others were hot ...teeth chattered all the way ...white knuckling steering wheel cause my body was shaking so bad ..got to my house wrapped in a blanket and laid down..my 8yr old daughter came in and saw i was sick and went and got thermometer ..checked my temp 105.7...I lived a man away from hospital...by then it was 107.+ I was taking back fans..water bottles were being sprayed on me and evaporate before it would get to skin...I was quarantined and administered like 6 different antibiotics...I had hallucinations from fever, my ear drums had started to diminish to nothing..after a week I did recover ...I walked out of the hospital a totally different person...I was confused and didn't have much memory..I've suffered 10yrs ..thinking I am stupid or why can I think! Or why do I have such melt downs and feel so desperate...no one understands!!! Making me more irritated..I stutter and can't think of words or fumble through my sentences....muscles lock up and spasms ...grrrrrr

I could go on and on..

Anyways thanks for sharing all your stories!! It helped me cause I was having a really bad day today!!

Please don't waste time asking here if your little one has meningitis, get trained medical help right now and get her seen by a professional. My baby's temp wasn't that high at first, he was throwing us a red herring and it was hiding bacterial meningitis.

Dont waste time wondering and second guessing. Time is CRITICAL even if you rule out the bad stuff, get help now.

All the best xx
