Hi lovely

I would make sure there's paracetemol 4x a day then a high dose of something stronger inbetween like codine and do t miss any even if there not that bad, aswell as things like tiger balm that you can rub on your head

thanks. he had some tiger balm that he bought in Thailand 6 years ago. so he use some already and he says it's working.  so thank you so much😊

I had BM in September and I still also get the headaches. I take Excedrin Migraine or a generic equivalent that has Acetaminophen, Aspirin, and Caffeine. I am trying not to take too many prescription drugs because I do not want to get dependent on them. If they don't work well enough, I also take Ibuprofen at the same time.

Like Korenic (above), I also take one Excedrin Extra Strength. Always works for me! In the RARE cases it doesn't work, I take one Dramamine (original formula), nap for 30 minutes, and awaken completely headache free!

Hi there.i use anadin extra (paracetamol aspirin caffiene) and I take 3. Before VM had migraines and now if I feel one coming I take 3 straight away and clears it. Good luck and hope he feels better soon x

Sorry to hear he's still suffering. I am recovering from viral meningitis & still have headaches. Over the counter nuramol. Otherwise see if GP can swap prescribed medicine to naproxen & codipar combined which is helping me. I've heard tramadol can cause headaches & I was warned off it. Hope that helps & wishing a speedy recovery.

This isn't over the counter, nothing touched my headaches after VM, using zomig 2.5 mg Rx , zomig 5.0 mg available , my favorite is, isomethept ,generic for midrin, works great if taken right as the headache starts, a lot of bang for your $. Zomig replaced midrin, they limit a person to 9 headaches a month on zomig , like we have a choice? Midrin is 3o pills a month. Your other responses listing any item with caffeine, Dramamine are good choices for over the counter. Good luck , it's been almost a year and headaches are rare, hope he finds this to be what occurs with him .

Beta blockers, propanol have been the only medicine to relieve my headaches/ chronic migraines caused by meningitis. May be worth asking your doctor about. X
