Hello friends,
I have read a few article on miraculous effects of Fish Oil/ Cod Liver Oil in Meningitis recovery due to high Omega-3 fatty acids. Any one has experienced the same? I am wishing to give it to my fiancee who's only 22 years old and making slow recovery after tb meningitis.
Please share your experiences.
I haven't tried fish oil but I have tried coconut oil once. As soon as I took it the noise in my head increased and I felt like my brain got very excited. I don't know how to explain it but it was very uncomfortable so I haven't tried it again.
Take this as tongue-in-cheek but you did say ..... share your experiences.
The last time I took cod liver oil it nearly killed me !!!!
I suffered a massive anaphylactic shock that saw me rushed into hospital, pumped to the max with adrenaline and then rushed off to resuscitation. I woke up the following day to find my arms and mouth didn't work properly and the consultant was explaining to my husband and grown son that he was sorry to say but that as a result of this I now also had lock jaw. I looked up from my hospital bed to witness a strange smile that both husband and son tried hard to suppress but failed, break out on both their faces as they were given this "dreadful" news ..... rotten pair lol
It took me a few days in hospital to recover but in my experience ..... cod liver oil was nearly the death of me. The doctors told me to steer well of it in.
What happened to me was REALLY unusual so don't attach too much (if any) importance to my post. It's a bit of the lighter but stranger things that can happen from time to time.
