My 36 Yr old daughter with cerable palsy so want to move into surported living but the social worker keeps saying surported living is not for her but it so is for her where can I go to seek more help for her as her social worker is horrible and won t help her find a place she is so unhappy where she is now in a care home she is in a wheelchair mild learning disabilities but so clever and wants to be In the community I do t no where to go for help after the social workers keeps saying surported living is not for her I'm so angry as the day centre she go's to say she would benefit so much in going into surported living I do t no where to turn. I would suggest getting an independent advocate social worker if you can’t find one I can give you my advocates details she has been worth her weight in gold to be honest and I pay her with my sons benefits as it’s for him at the end of the day.

Dont give up you have to keep on being a nuisance that sounds bad but you have to i had a really bad social worker in the past most are quite bad in my experiance,try talking to the boss and demand to speak to them and keep ringing till you get a reply or ring some advice lines ,go online and look for some numbers

I think you need to go and see some supported living places whether they are suitable or not . You may need a care assessment report . Get your daughter an advocate and an independent social worker . Supported living may not be the best place for her but only you can tell by looking at what they offer .
