Why are people rude to those with learning disabilities?

As when I’m out and about I find people to be staring, laughing at me or just ignoring me and not taking me serious.

Has anyone else seen / heard about this?

Pitty them for their ignorance- Be yourself and be proud of who you are

Absolutely agree with jollyfarmer, you are you and unfortunately those people are missing out on not getting to know you. I understand it's difficult when faced with this reaction, do you have someone you can talk to about it if it's causing you distress. Do you have friends who can support you? Take care

Some people are stupid and unkind. Try and remember that and let somebody kind know about it when you get home.
