What is the process when a supported living placement breaks down?

My daughters home is at risk due to issues with failed service delivery of care being reported to managers. Her care plans are not being adhered to so raising issues as any mother would do via managers and it has caused a rift between myself & staff on site. What rights do we have ?

You have every right to complain if they’re are issues speak to the people that find her care and tell them they need to call an urgent meeting to see if these things can be resolved. If you’ve lost all faith in them then you will need to look for another placement but discuss this with the people that find your daughters care. I have just been through this so I feel for you it’s soooooo stressful. In the end I paid for a social worker consultant and we paid with my sons money as it was for him and in the end the funders took over and started paying as they could see that there were so many issues with this home as numerous safeguarding’s that had to be raised due to poor care. If you have more questions please ask I would also advice getting either a lasting power of attorney if she has mental capacity and if she doesn’t go for deputyship you can do all this online on the government website gov.uk
