Keep away from fatty snacks and just eat better food which is good for you

Hi Estellecool1997 welcome. Do you snack as it's an easier option than cooking? Many of the supermarkets sell healthy low fat ready prepared meals to pop in the oven or microwave. You could eat healthy during the week and have some snacks and treats at the weekend.
At least that way you still get treats just not every day.

It is lovely to have you here. What a great question - I think this is something a lot of people find hard. Here are a few ideas:
> Do you like fruit? I really love melon and pineapple. I know it's not the same as crisps and chocolate, but I have found that I like snacking on them when I am watching TV. I think the trick is to find a healthy snack you like.
> Make sure you know what you are eating. Some snacks have very high sugar and fat - there is usually a message on the front of the packet that lets you know. It is colour coded. Green means it ok to eat that food a lot, orange means you can eat this food sometimes, red means that you should try not to each this food too often.
> There are some really good videos on YouTube about food and cooking. My favourite are the CookABILITY accessible recipe videos for people with learning disabilities - youtube.com/playlist?list=P...
It can also help if your friends and family are also trying to be good. Do you have someone who could do this with you?
