Struggling with adopted son

Hi we are struggling with behaviour problems with our adopted son ,only happens at home ,we have 3 other boys at home ,sudden violence ,swearing ,back chatting ,throwing objects

Thank you for posting here. I am sorry things are so hard for your family at the moment. How old is your son? Are you getting any extra support from school? Has he had given any indication of why his behaviour is worse at home?

There is also the Challenging Behaviour Foundation - challengingbehaviour.org.uk/

It might also be be good to talk to someone about this. Have you spoken to your son's GP? Or to our helpline on 0808 808 1111.

Your son might also benefit from talking to someone outside the family. Again his GP might be able to help, or a friend or teacher?
