Global development delay

Well hi everyone. This is a hard post for me as at this moment in time I don’t know which way to turn. So they say global development delay but to me it dosent justify all the other things that go with it

I also have global development delay and also my six year old daughter it was found after her peditrision order blood test and we both come back same also abnormally cromisonse

Have you had chromosomes checked? They can find so many more tiny abnormalities these days. Might answer some of your questions.

My 16 month old son has global developmental delay, which is an umbrella term as I understand it when children aren’t meeting a few milestones but has no diagnosis yet. My son is behind on speech, communication and social. I’m also looking to connect with anyone who may have their own experiences and outcomes to discuss. I’m aware of Autism but could these delays be anything else? We have been referred to paediatrician- what’s this test you talk of? Can me and my partner and our son all be tested?

My grandson has global development delay too,he's 10 and hasn't had that much support. I would like some advice/tips on how I can help him.

My daughter was given this ‘label’ I think when there isn’t a clear diagnosis. She is now 17, she has had chromosome tests but nothing was found though physically she has various soft markers which would suggest something genetic. The paediatrician provided very little support He was very nice and reassuring but .. just get on with it. It wasn’t until I paid for an educational psychologist to do a thorough observation and report that I got an e h c p and significant support in school. I think it is all about pushing for support and accepting that your child will always need that support
