I'm new to this community, having joined the Fibro site earlier in the year. I have managed to control my pain through lifestyle and dietary changes, but am still suffering from exhaustion (I was diagnosed 10 years ago with CFM/ME and, more recently, with Post-Viral Fatigue...... ). Can anyone please let me know what changes they have made to their diet that have really helped them cope, or improve their condition.
Many thanks,
dee

Thank you.... I really appreciate your letting me know, and have 'invested in' a B12 spray to sit on my desk (the spray, not me.... ) in case I forget in the morning.
I think the B complex is more effective than the B12. I started on B12 first on my Drs recommendation. ( I have cfs/me) He also told me that you can’t do any damage to yourself if you take high doses as your body expels what you do not need.
My niece suggested B complex, so I gave it a go. I think it helps.
I take Vit D (that is a vital one) multi B Vit and Omega 3 oils. Added to this I am meant to be dairy and gluten free although I cheat on the dairy at times.
That information was given to me by a specialist who is very knowledgeable about M.E. and has proven to help. At various times I was vegetarian and vegan for another condition and I think that at the vegan stage I was feeling better but it is very hard to maintain when also gluten free.
I also take gentle iron for another condition but it is also likely to help with energy. I also take NAC supplement for energy and brain function that I came across on a website for M.E., the address is lost to me now:
Thank you. You've put my mind at rest that most of the changes/additions I made to help with the Fibro (e.g. Vit D3 - with K2, and going Gluten Free) are likely to help with my energy levels eventually.
It's probably the stress of Covid-19 'in the air' that's holding me back at the moment......
