Hi All. A Dr has recommended that I see a Dr Weir out of Harley St. Has anyone here seen him and have any comments?

What's his background, is he a neurologist?

Many thanks for your replies

Dr weir is a consultant and M.E specialist part time you can be referred to him but from what I gather it's may be a private treatment. He does a variety of therapy and things in a mixed programme to help you. Wish I lived in London lol

He has helped get research for M.E

Found out he isn't a neurologist can't remember what he is but he's all over the internet. Seems to be a big noise!

No Dr Weir is an ME specialist, not a neurologist. He's a wonderful doctor that actually understands ME, & I would most definitely recommend that you see him if you can. He's one of the best doctors for this illness out there

Thanks for that BeckyGw

Hello,

Sorry for delayed reply

I have not seen Dr weir myself but he apparently is a very compassionate Dr and treats ME from a biomedical perspective!!! Unlike the NHS clinics who take a psychosocial approach.

Dr Weir is highly recommended across the ME community.

He is at Harley street private only.

He is an ME specialist, I don't know what his medical speciality was originally.

But he knows a lot more about ME than the UK neurologists do!!

Iif you can afford it and can get an appointment then I would say go for it!

Good luck.

Starbys :-)
